-Nintendogs(if you like that sorta thing, i personally dont)
-As well as the standard fare of MMBN/Yugioh/Pokemon/Etc(do these ever die, what can another game possibly add?)

Yeah - after playing both a DS and a PSP, I just wasn't sold on the fact that the gaming experience I'd be getting on the PSP would be any different from what I already had on my PS2 and PC.
That and the fact that as I already have and iPod, I wasn't going to use the PSP as an MP3 player. As to portable movies? Well, not my thing, really.
So yeah - I have no doubt that PSP is a far more impressive piece of hardware, but when it comes down to it, the DS was my choice in the end, mainly because the games are fun, fresh and can't be found anywhere else.

Trauma Centre: An NDS game where you use the stylus to operate on criticaly ill patients in the ER and then sew them up. How crazy is that! This is why the DS deserves to win the handheld war

One day you will all be debating whether the Sony PhonetalkZero is better than the Nintendo PhoneyMcRingRing.
I stopped buying consoles after the game boy advance which I only ever bought advance wars for and played for about a week. I should have learnt my lesson from the mega drive and sega saturn I owned before that which stopped being flavour of the month overnight too.
Give me a good old fashioned, greesed up computing machine any time of the year.
EDIT: I remember an old PC game like that surgery one. The only thing i knew how to do was remove kidney stones, otherwise i would just leave the anesthetic off and make them scream, or chat up the secretary with the latest copy protection codes from the manual. |

for the PSP owners reading this thread, 1gig pro duo mem sticks are hovering around $70 these days...
if you can't find one locally, hit up newegg.com
and as you "value-shoppers" well know, 1gig is 300 more megs than you need to watch a movie
i might also suggest downloading PSPVideo9, the best video conversion app IMO for the psp(and it's free!)
and while I concede the DS has better games out right now, and that I'm frustrated with the PSP's game library... being able to watch movies and Cowboy Bebop episodes on the go from my 1gig stick is quite nice gotcha there DS guys |

One Game I'm looking forward to on PSP (well, actually, the only game I'm looking forward to on PSP!) is Loco Roco. Looks like a funner version of smash indie hit 'Gish':

I would point out that you got totally burned on buying two of the least successful consoles evar, but it probably didn't matter, given your atrotious underutilization of the GBA. |

I always sound down on Gish on these forums, so first off - disclaimer: I LOVE Gish! That said, the hardline 'simulation' stuff going on behind the scenes in Gish doesn't really follow our game design ethos here: Some of it wasn't inherently fun - I think that comes down to preference, and it divided Gish fans, but I definitely come down on the 'fun over simulation' side of the fence. Loco Roco looks like they've taken that approach, and I also much prefer the style of Art - it's the game I really wanted Gish to be.
Of course, Chronic Logic came up with the idea and I think their version rocks. (I'm a little dismayed that Loco Roco previews have not even mentioned Gish. Hopefully the final reviews will point out the influence). |
