Conclusion
Time will tell as to whether the decision to leave the mainstream and embrace indie development was a good idea or not. Currently we all feel very good about it, the Mac version is nearly finished and plans are already in place for the next game. Again we will try and aim for 6 months development. Everyone is very proud of what we achieved with Starscape, we had a good initial plan and we stuck to it, we avoided the temptation to reach too far and therefore kept slippage to a minimum.
Have we found development nirvana? i.e. small team indie development of creative and original concepts that actually make money? I think we just might have, only time will tell.
