Remember 'Heroes' ? Some average people suddenly get super powers and all kinds of crazy adventures ensue? Great show, but in the usual Hollywood style, these average people were all very beautiful and the story soon veered down the 'saving the world' blockbuster route. Misfits is the UK answer to that show, these people aren't average at all, they are BELOW average. It's about a bunch of teenage offenders on community service punishment who accidentally get super powers in a freak storm. It's a fantastic series with two seasons out and a third in production. Currently it's free to watch on channel4's website, although I'm not sure if that will work outside the UK. As with all good tv shows, it took a couple of episodes for me to get it, but it was definitely worth it. They never save the world, most of the time they just have fun at someone else's expense, great stuff.
