This is getting a bit ridiculous. Imagine what would happen if these companies stopped spending the money the spend trying to stop people pirating games, and spent it on making new, original games? It's been proven many many times that you can make great games on a small budget.

Steam: Fixing your activation problems, at least until Valve goes out of business (not saying it'll happen soon, but everything is inevitable) and the activation servers go down. In which case they're under no obligation to provide you with a means to play your perfectly legitimately purchased games without it.

I've thought it was out of control for a while now, but i don't think all the money saving in the world would help them produce better games, lack of talent and experience has always been a problem for a certain entertainment industry.

That and, well, there seems to be more money in doing pathetic clones then original games. Look at Phyconaunts (spelling? :S) absolutely brilliant game, no media attention.

I am sure we could all produce a massive list of under appreciated games though.
