Okay, I just beat the boss for zone 4 and I've been poking around the zone for a long time. I'm pretty sure I've been through every node, but I still can't find those darn missing survivors. Where are they? .. oh, and you couldn't you make this easier somehow? Like, merely passing over a node will reveal if something is hidden there or not?

Also, the worms. Now, once you've killed all thr Archnid in the zone and you're merely mining to build, those worms do make a nice change of pace once in a while, but it gets out of hand. If you stay in the node, they come in large numbers and eventually surround you. No matter how much fire power you pour in one direction, a worm is ramming you from the other. And if you try to run, you get blown up and knocked back into the centre. I lost a ship this way (hard mode -_-) and have since learned my lesson. I leave the zone before too many overrun me, and then come back again immediately afterwards, but this just seems like a waste of time. If there was only one or two worms in each wave, but they came faster or something, you'd be able to mine without having to leave every minute and still face the same number of worms. What do you think?

Picking up crew is not essential to finishing the game, that is why it is so tricky to find them, it is just a little added touch (like the extra 20 hidden stars in Mario - god how annoying were they to find Smile).

The worms are there to encourage you out of boring empty zones and on to the rest of the game. As usual I don't actually force you to do anything, so you can stay and fight, it is your choice, but there is no need to stay in an empty zone.

One trick is to stay in the danger node, the one with the lava asteroids, you can exit the node if the worms get too bad. The thing is this node refills with asteroids so you can pop in and out filling up, if that is what you want. Enemy units will not come after you into this node either so it can be a safe haven.
