|
|
Would a walkthrough be helpful to anyone? I wrote down very detailed notes my second time through the game, so I can post them for others to use.
Posting 890 lines on this forum would probably not be nice; if you want me to make it available, give me a suggestion as to where to put it.
Good luck! |

| If you put it in a text file (ot any format you like really) and mail it us we'll stick it somewhere on the server and link to it here if you like. |

| You could also post it on GameFAQs. |

It's always like that.
I posted an in-depth guide about Regional Merchants for Final Fantasy XI on GameFAQs, took almost a week to go "under approval check", and from there, a day and a half to be approved...
Revisions are quicker though, and obviously, you save some time if you stick to their formating guidelines, as the automatic formating check puts you ahead of all those who didn't respect them |

| Thanks for doing the walkthrough - did you mean to list bugs in it though? I'm working through the reported bugs now and they'll all soon be fixed. Remember to post any bugs in the support thread where I can see them. I've noted down the ones from guide, most had been mentioned already. |

Recommendations on the draft:
- Go back later and turn some directions into full sentences for clarity and professional look
- Add "how to read" bit to the top for people who just look at the page as a bunch of numbers and letters (you know, a key to the format)
- Specify what you mean when you say "right" and "left" in an isometric view for those who can't picture what you mean
- Separate sections of the walkthrough by using symbols and such to make it less of a chore to read (example: put a solid line right after the end of the walkthrough)
- Designate where the walkthrough parts actually start and finish by using a line of symbols or whatever (Walkthrough Starts, Walkthrough Ends)
I was impressed with the walkthrough. Good work! |

Tell users how to get the room number to display in the game (since most people don't know it shows up on the map screen).
Also what do you mean by "pods"?
And the extra robot ghost names are random (at least I think they are, mine are all completely different from the ones you listed) so there's no need to post the names. |

| The walkthrough was not up for more than a couple of days before I got email from Neoseeker and Cheat Code Central asking for permission. I think that it should be fine, especially since they asked first. Are there any reasons against these sites? Any other sites you recommend posting to? |
