The craziest idea I had so far was a room with a small model of a Sinclair Spectrum computer, and a tv. If you hit the use button near it, it would play a wav, which if connected up to a spectrum computer (or emulator via audio in) would actually load up a spectrum program. Maybe it could contain a mini agme, that gives you some code to get a secret. I think it would be cool even if it just displayed an image Very Happy

I daren't tell Goober about it though - he's mad enough to dig up his Z80 assembler book and do it Shocked

I'm sure there must be something out there that can create a spectrum tape file that just displays an image. I know how to make Spectrum .scr image files, but beyond that it's a bit of a black art to me.

If anyone knows of any utils or tutorial sites for making speccy stuff - post here and I'll look into it Very Happy

Thanks to some really cool people on comp.sys.sinclair, I came up with this

wham that into your favourite spectrum emulator, turn off speed loading for maximum drama
