Maybe this Series 1 robot was the cook. When he finds a member of the crew to get their card, he rescues them etc., he whips out the can o' powdered flap jacks. The freed crew member whips out a can of oil or some other spare part for the robot out of thin air, then the weird robot dancing ensues.

While the human is "getting giggy wit it" (TM), he does something clumsy that sends the robot out the airlock to his next challenge.

Cool idea - I always wanted to make a game with wait animations (I'm pretty sad Very Happy ).

He dances pretty well actually - I started an animation of him dancing to 'Robot' by TATU. Although it was just for personal enjoyment - we obviously couldn't release it because it uses chart music.

He could dance to anything you like, but I still can't make it publicly available unless we have the music license (If it's very popular music, then it's a safe bet it would cost about $200,000 for use in one territory for one year Shocked )

Yeah but Robot by TATU is kind of a cute song Very Happy

Anyway, I'm sure the music in Mr Robot won't be made by us on a synth - we don't want to put people off Very Happy

Here's a thought, what about some kind of screensaver doohickey that where all you had to do was program the robot animation to dance to any old beat the user played themselves? Then ya wouldn't have all that licensing stuff to wade through.

Just a thought, but it got me thinking of a silly old program someone wrote around '90 or therabouts. All it consisted of was a parrot and through the user's microphone it regurgitated whatever they said back in its own weird interpretative parrot speak. Some stuff I don't think you could get it to say so it just squawked, but it was a neat novelty.

TATU? Hmm . . . (imagines if the pseudo-lesbian implications of it all might ruin your G rating)
