Somebody is making new high rez textures for Deus Ex. This is just awesome.
Click on the freaky german cyborg to visit site.
Oh and BTW its pronounced Day-OOS-EX not or Duce-EX Doo-Sex. Its short for Deus Ex Machina.

You actually posted something worthwhile this time!
System Shock II has allready gotten something similar (SHTUP - Shock Texture Upgrade Project) but hey, This will breathe new life into DX!
Thanks! I'll be watching this one |

That's not quite fair; Icarus often posts some very interesting items - the Stanislav Petrov link was a great read for instance. In fact, I have come to think of Icarus as board mascot
This is looking great. It is quite incredible that people find the time to work on this kind of endeavour, and yet they do not make a penny from it. |

I've found when you have the ability to create something you're passionate about you don't find the time, you make it. It's much more satisfying than the passive activities most of us spend our lives doing, I don't find anything suprising about it all. I would regularly skip school to make games without any hope of finanical gain.
I hope they manage to make all their new models work together well, I've seen projects like this where the models look good by themselves but when they're all brought together in the game they don't mesh together at all, it seems like a common problem amateur modellers face (I don't know if they are, they might be professionals). If they improve the effects and animation aswell it should be awesome. |

Damnable damnnations, I only have Invisible War.
I heard that the high-rez models for SS2 made it less scary, though. |
