Found a bug:
String "FE_ADVENTURES_TOOLTIP_MOON" exists in blackhole.str.txt and BlackHoleStrings.h but is shown as "???" in-game. Maybe there is a mixup with FE_UNKNOWN? The problem also exists in the original English version of the game.
(The string is used as description for the adventure filter, for the official moonpod games.) |

Sorry, that's not true. Only if mrrobot.001 is present in the game directory. The one that is created by the language file build script. The original game with the original files (and no additional files) doesn't have this problem.
Mh, strange.

I'm a little bit confused by this info box. First of all, why do I have to push something to open it? Then, it should say "Press middle button to use.", right? Why the arrow is pointing towards the shelf instead of the locker and why the left cursor key is highlighted in red also confuses me. Could you look into this, Poo Bear?
(The screenshot is from the unaltered original version of the game.)
And a translation question:
Are Zelda and Asimov in love? I'm asking because she calls him "honey", which may be translated to "Liebling" in German. But only a couple in a relationship would use this word to address each other. It can not be used in a ironic or playful way between two persons not in a relationship, really.
Instead I could use "Süßer", which directly translates to "sweety" or "cutie" and could be used in a kind of ironic or playful way. (She uses the term "cutie" later.) If they are not in love, I'll stick to "Süßer", if they are in love, I'll use "Liebling". |

The cutie playful way would be best.
That info box isn't very nice, I admit
A problem came up where people couldn't open lockers or activate things. This was because they were not actually touching the thing they were trying to activate. So instead of implementing some clever 'if not touching then just activate whatever they are close to' algorithm, we just added this explanation that tells you to push against something AND press the button.
The arrow is meant to show the player pushing the robot 'into' the locker before activating it. Not good really.
And yes, it should say 'press middle button to use'. doh! |

With your explanation the info box makes a lot more sense. Thanks.
I'll fix the middle mouse button issue in the translation file. |

Wow, that's pretty cool. I'm stuck at around 25% as my regular work the past 2 weeks was quite exhausting, so I had not much motivation to do the translation in the evening.
What's your experience regarding translation speed? For conversions I calculated a rate of about 1.5 to 2 minutes per line including testing in-game. There are 596 conversions items in the game, and about 1300 other texts like menus, tooltips, help items, hacking names and explanations etc. |

Yep, there are lot of lines to translate. Generaly, i work only in notepad for menus, tooltips, items. For dialogue, i open the game in window mod and play in same time i translate.
In france, our trains are often late (around Marseille). Last week, i was stuck in railway station for 6h... with my laptop and sunshine. In this way, i could work only on Mr Robot |

On top of that, my batteries wouldn't last that long - most of our train stations don't have convenient power points. |

Is there a solution to unlock demo version with steam account ?
I've bought Mr Robot on Steam, and so, i only can test translations on it. After 60", i can now only see general menu (which is in french).
I'm actually in debug phase |

| I've emailed you account details for a normal non-steam version, is that any use? |
