Very nice games, seems to be a group of young programmers:

Did you download the video for Factor X2? It looks amazing, I'll be keeping an eye on that... |

They also have a really cool looking top down space shooter in the works:

Apparently, many of their games are created using software from clickteam, multimedia fusion?
Does anyone have any experience using that? It certainly looks like you can create impressive stuff with it. I'm tempted to have a play myself. |

ahh, although reading trhough the user comments, it seems FX2 is being made with Blitz Basic. |

Isn't Multimedia Fusion a pimped out version of The Games Factory, which was just a version of Klik 'n' Play that didn't crash every 2 minutes? I used to have great fun with Klik 'n' Play, but it suffered horribly from the fact that making a project of any size whatsoever was doomed to failure because it would get to the point where it would crash every time you tried to load it. |

Yes, I think you are right there. Have you had a go of factor x 1? Pretty cool game and you can see how it could even be improved upon with the existing engine (I think this one was made with Multimedia fusion)
The plot is mad - you are paid to do missions through time. Starting off with helping the Nazis win World War II. You start off by blowing away American GIs. There's some serious gore - men walking around with both arms missing. Eyeballs and bits of brain flying... |

Multimedia Fusion is a good program for making less-complex games really quickly. However if you're making a large game with lots of levels, it starts to become very tedious, because each 'frame' or level is pretty much handled like a seperate game - you have to copy over all your code and graphics from the previous level. So when you've got 20 levels in the game and you don't like the look of the player character anymore, or want to tweak a weapons damage value you have to go through and change it 20 times. This factor, and the temptation of 3D accelerated graphics are what made me switch over to Blitz Basic for Factor X 2. MMF is a great tool in it's own right however, I made the game Furry on our site in just over a week, while I was going to school (Admittedly I had to skip sleeping one night). |

Sounds like MMF is a good way to get into games though. I must say, I really can't wait for FX2! Are you doing the graphics yourself? I totally love the art direction in the game. I can say now that I'll be buying it, without even playing the demo (sometimes a video just sells me on something ) |

Thanks. I'm making the whole game by myself, apart from the sound effects and the music. If you want to do some pre-release testing that would be fine by me, I'd be glad to have the input of other game developers. |

Factor X is pretty cool. I think I like the spinney-blade weapon best. Mind you, I do suck pretty badly. I didn't get past the helicopter. Also, is the closet supposed to be available initially? |

I finally downloaded the video for Factor X 2 (Dialup modems are a killer I must get round to calling BT and setting up broadband* )
This is yet another great looking game. Any idea of a release data yet?
*and, on that note - does anybody have broadband package recommendations for the UK? |

Thankyou for the broadband information - I will probably go with plusnet.
Amazing news about Factor X 2 (or what it will be named) - I am really looking forward to it even more now and I have the suspicion it will also contain some 'Moonpod Magic' now! |
