True, I think the Commanche would have cemented further that air superiority need very well, but there are so many other ways they can achieve that now without that expense. Satelites and other toys like this that don't risk men before your ready to seems to be the way to go.

War of today I believe has slightly less to do with the armor, guns, ships, planes and people you have, until you factor in intelligence first. Today you can pretty much bypass inventions like the Commanche and spread a few of its good points into more inexpensive methods across the board. So I think the army was right to not order any (though that doesn't change the fact that I think the chopper is uber sweet )
