| Within Starscape's Options/Controls - Modify... what's this 'Dead Zone' setting? The default is 2 and ranges from 0-19. I don't see any info on this anywhere in the manual. What is this and what does it do? |

| It is for analogue gamepads and joysticks, I thought it was quite a standard term so I didn't bother adding an explanation (my mistake). Game pads are generally quite badly made mechanical devices that don't tend to settle down to a neutral state after repeated bashing. This can make the game think you are moving the direction stick when you aren't. If this happens you just increase the dead zone until it stops. |
