So what is Moonpod up to lately? I have fond memories of this forum from back closer to when Starscape first released. Is Moonpod developing anything right now? |

I took a sabbatical and ended up as lecturer at University teaching game development - how cool is that
Once I've settled in I'll get some new games out (fingers crossed), probably for mobile (android and ios). |

Heh, that is cool. Be careful in the mobile market, it's so over-saturated it's hard to capture a niche. |

Yeah if you do android, go for the OUYA!
I suspect you could generate some dimes with ports of starscape or mr robot, though that would be a longer job...
Well if you develop with Unity, you'll likely have a better chance to support multiple platforms
I lurk in here a few times per year and though I understand it fully, I'm sad to see no news about a game from moonpod ;( |

Ouya looks good, but I think game stick could be a really cool little 'take anywhere' console in your pocket. I miss LAN parties, they just aren't practical anymore, this might fix that.

Yeah I ended up moving. Now actually doing web programming. Starscape, Mr robot and Moonpod still the best work period of my life. Doing a bit of tinkering with mobile games in my spare time too |

Hi Fost! Good to see you. If you do make anything, however small, I hope you'll tell us. And tweet #screenshotsaturday teasers. |

I saw updates in developer diary and got excited, then I saw it was just a spambot.
:c
In other news Planetary Annihilation is turning out to be everything I wanted Battlescape to be. It's totaly worth 70 dollars even in Alpha. |

Hey guys! Darn I just hopped in here again to see what you're up to!
Nice that you keep posting!
And whow Thanks for mentioning Planetary Annihilation! Looks awesome indeed! And how cool, that the planets are so comparable small and multiple ones and and and ... like Total Annihilation meets Super Mario Galaxy meets Ratchet & Clank. Really something to look forward to!
ps: I keep dreaming about a starscape multiplayer thing .. that'd be too cool. |

Starscape multiplayer nearly happened, it was one of a number of potential games NCSoft got behind a long time ago. Sadly it wasn't a lucky one.
One day though .... |

I'd love to see an MMO like starscape or flatspace. |

Flatspace is available on iphone/ipad now - which is cute, but it uses accelerometer controls which isn't really a good fit. That's the problem with phones and tablets, they have the cpu/gpu grunt for anything, but control is so tricky. |

Cheers!
Glad to see Moonpod's still around. I just wanted to ask if you'd consider putting your games on GOG.com at some point, maybe through their new indie game submission system? Anyways, looking forward to some new stuff! Maybe Battlescape'll get revived in some form someday. Thank you! |
