Well, the second game was a bit of a let down, but they certainly know how to make an exciting trailer for the third. I hope the game lives up to it.

That said, The gameplay trailers look promising. Although I still have mixed feelings on this being a Prequel with better special effects. The technology looks more advanced than the originals. Perhaps they should have tried to make it a spiritual successor instead?

Yes, I'm not fooled into thinking the quality of the cinematic has any bearing on the game itself, been burned too many times in the past for that It would just make a great setting for an anime series a bit like Ghost In The Shell.

The gameplay trailer shows some predictable cover-shooter mechanics that look straight out of GearsOfWar, but there's also a bit of stealth and some interesting high tec weapons.

So we saw trailers and complained about everything.

Then a preview gets leaked. And suddenly everyone is in love. I just pre-ordered this game. It can't come soon enough.

Yes, it's a shame it got leaked, it could have been damaging (and maybe it is to sales?), but it certainly sounds like the game is actually really good.

Not really. It's already converted a bunch of people who were expecting it to suck, now a bunch of people (myself included) have it on pre-order.. It's also not the full game, just a really large demo.

Some people even claim that Eidos leaked it intentionally, but that's kind of silly because it would be easier to make an actual demo. This is just a press preview.
