Awesome power.
I can't believe it was so long ago. It shows what humans can do when they put their minds to it.
Seems like NASA doesn't have the budget these days, shuttle is going out of service and a replacement doesn't seem that clear. So for the first time in years NASA might not have any vehicle to get into orbit? Sad.
They plan to build an unmanned robot moon base by 2020 - woo!
Human exploration of space is obviously a very cool idea, but I suppose robotic exploration is cheaper, safer and still lets us get a lot of answers. I doubt you will inspire the public to back bigger projects without involving humans though.
