Anyone who thinks phantom menace and friends was bad should watch this.
OMG!
I can't believe the original cast were in it too. For shame....
Your immediate reaction will be turn it off and pretend it never happened, but stick with it until the end if you want to see the famous holo chess board used to display futuristic cross dressing high heeled jugglers. Kill me....
I apologise to all fellow Star Wars fans everywhere.

Clone Wars was alright - above average(ish) I'd say. Aimed more at kids in preparation for the follow on series on Cartoon Network. Shame they didn't have the proper voice over cast from the other films though.
About equal maybe with phantom menace, better then attack of the clones and revenge of the sith.
Loses impact because it's set in the past so it feels like the result is of little importance. Can't identify with Anakin because you know he's going evil. Clone troopers are hard to love for similar reasons. They do introduce a new character though, which adds some interest.

Maybe I need to watch clone wars and ROTS again, I though phantom menace was the better movie at the time, but not by much and frankly all three don't deserve to sit along side NH, ESB and ROTJ.

Phantom menace, Abysmal failure.
Clone wars, A lot better.
ROTS, Excellent movie, Makes up for Phantom menace.
Clone wars -- a lot better? Did you see the scene where Anakin is feeding her fruit from across the dining room table? Or where he comes out of the sandpeople tent looking "murderous"?
I'm not saying the acting was a lot worse in that movie than in the other two. It was just that Lucas scripted in so many opportunities to showcase just how bad the acting actually was.

I'm sorry I can't here you over the sound of how AWESOME the battlescenes were.

I'll give you that Samuel L. Jackson was a badass (and somehow resisted the acting-sucking powers of Lucas' directing), but c'mon. Episode 2 was supposed to set the stage for Anakin's corruption and slide into the dark side by establishing just how much he cared for Padme. Instead, we got some awesome special effects and totally unbelievable character development. I was supposed to feel a deep sense of regret and loss at the events that pushed Anakin to fall from grace, but instead I was cheering and saying "Finally! Now on to James Earl Jones, someone who can act."

I think I totally ignored Anikin in favor of the clone troopers.
Yes Anikin skywalker. A legion of CLONES has more personality than you,

Ha, agreed. I guess you're right -- it's not a bad movie if you ignore every scene Hayden Christensen is in. And every scene Jar Jar is in. Why Lucas, why?
