Hello everybody, this is my first post here on these forums and I guess the title of my thread says it all!!!
I downloaded the demo and later purchased a full copy of Mr.Robot after reading a favourable review of the game in the March issue of PC Plus - www.pcplus.co.uk. The review is on page 159 and the game gets 4 out of 5 stars.
Many years ago I purchased my first computer - a 48K ZX Spectrum - and the very first game I played on it was a demo of Rasputin from a company called Firebird. The game was fiendishly difficult, but I was hooked from day one on the puzzle-solving, platform-jumping isometric perspective and over the course of my 8-Bit computing years I purchased titles of a similar nature including Batman by Jon Ritman and Bernie Drummond as well as Fairlight by Bo Jangeborg and it is great to be able to say that Mr.Robot continues that tradition in the best possible way!!!!! It's great to see a game that harks back to it's old school roots and delivers on it's promises.
I love everything about Mr.Robot except for the RPG aspect as I have never been a fan of that in games and I'd be happy if it were absent from the game entirely, but that's a minor annoyance which I feel is more than adequately compensated for by everything else.
Thanks guys for a really enjoyable game and I wish you all the best for the future.
Regards,

Thanks! Batman and Fairlight are two of my favourites although I don't recall Rasputin - I'll have to look that one up.
thanks for the heads up about pcplus too - didn't know about that one, we'll have to look it up! |
