Now, I do declare Johnny 5 is best!
And Bender is just a cheap alternative at robots, To make you laugh. And i have no doubt that Johnny 5 could kick everyone in the polls (except t100) ***, Given he has 2 human counterparts and an appropriate place to battle.
I don't know who johnny 5 is, but bender would just pick him up and bend him like all those girders he bends

You all've STILL forgotten HK-47. I don't think I've ever heard a Robot Trash Talk (or blast Meatbags, for that matter) better than Good 'Ol HK.

Definitely HK-47, he made me laugh out loud and was really the only reason I kept playing KOTOR. And the only reason I played KOTOR2 at all, though he was cloned and not as cool there. "Hk-47: Explanation: two per cent probability that the miniature organic is simply looking for trouble and needs to be blasted. That may be wishful thinking on my part, master."

Second place: GIR from Invader Zim

Third: Maximilian

Honourable mention: HAL 9000

HK is just a crude imitation of bender

"hey you know what KNOTR needs"
"what"
"bender, that bot was awesome"
"but bender is copyright"
"oh, lets just make a bot that talks like bender"

According to Billy West, we'll be seeing more of Bender - 4 new direct to dvd Futurama movies! Don't believe me? Heres the link to Billy's post on his official forum: http://www.billywest.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1685&PN=1&TPN=4#34990. While it seems an odd choice, considering the way fox went with Family Guy (new tv series, then a movie) you can't say I'm not happy (well, truthfully at least). Heck, many people think that if these sell well they'll bring back the series, so I know I'll be getting my copy the second I can.

HK-47 sounds nothing like Bender! Bender is a stereotypical, stupid, chauvanistic, and prejudiced male persona. He has no special abilities, other than an impossibly big storage container. HK-47 is an intelligent, ruthless, witty, hateful killing machine who was made by a Sith Lord. Bender was made on an assembly line. HK couldn't be less like Bender!

Edit: Oh, I guess I also forgot the Cylons. The Agent models, I mean. The (new) Centurians & Raiders are pretty cool, too.

Isn't Meatbag, fleshbag, flesh-heap and so on kind of normal among the arrogant robot crowd? I never really saw that as "Bender's" line, but I may be wrong.

Scifi Wire or whatever it is has one now about Comedy Central ordering 13 eps to air in '08. Apparently Fry, Peg Bundy and Bender will be back but dunno how accurate or solid this new is, news of any other voice talent or if the DVD movies are still planned.

Meatbag.

1. When did he first use it?

2. Even if Bender did use it first, he said it maybe twice in the 5 seasons of Futurama. "Meatbag" was rightfully HK-47's favorite word, and he used it probably 200+ times in the course of a 30+ hour game.
