based on the asumtion that i live about 50 miles from boston (1hour in the car)

That's some fast driving you're talking about. You mean on the 'Pike with no traffic at 100mph, right? Sorry, I exaggerate a bit. I live 32 miles from Boston, and giving for average Traffic rates, both in-city and out, it usually takes about 45 minutes to get to my usual destination in Boston.
