Everyone else hates this game but I kind of like it, I know it is really simple and the controls are insane but I keep going back to it. It is a vertical shootemup that gives you a physical work out leaving your wrists aching Smile

Let me explain the controls:
1. repeatedly press fire1 - and I mean press fast.
2. hold down fire1 to charge up a big blast but be careful or the ship blows up - eh?
3. use fire2 to drop bombs, but again you are going to have to press repeatedly to get anywhere.

Instead of following fixed learnable/predictable paths, the flying enemies just come straight for you on a suicide run. On the ground are a number of turrets which you can take out with the bombs, only problem is they fire super fast bullets at you (without warning) that are almost impossible to dodge.

So am I crazy or is this actually good?

If you liked Raptor then you should like "Demonstar: secret missions", see this thread: http://www.moonpod.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=459. Done by the same people who did Raptor.

I like the genre, I like the graphics, the game itself makes me sick, "sorry - this won't do".

I preffer the old ones.
Tyrian, Raptor, OverKill, Galactica...much better done.

I would definately have to denote much of it to the complexity, oddly as the game is quite simple to operate, and difficulty level of it.
Perhaps the craft isn't moving fast enough, or you get hit way too often with way too little in way of defense or standing a chance to knock the opponents off the sky before they start to stream down on you with the rain of hellfire from the abyss of doom.

Eitherway, I vote with my feet.
