I am triing to play the demo and I can't really get into liking the game because in the tutorial missions, when it first takes me into the big ship and takes me to the R&D room, I get stuck there.
No matter what I click on the same text pops up:
We are trying to BUILD a level one TURRET for the Aegis, look in the STATION category for the item. Just make one fro now and make sure all PEOPLE are assigned to the project. When you are ready hit START.
When I clock on anything, and I tried EVERYTHING it just says it again and again. |

1. click "build"
2. click the right arrow underneath on until "station" appears
3. click the right arrow underneath until "turret" appears
4. set "num" to 1
5. set "people" to 5
6. click "start"
That should do it, all 5 crew assigned to build a single level 1 turret fo rthe station, can't think of what else could go wrong? Or is this a hoax Mr.Hoax |

I know it took me a while to figure out that the tutorial mode gave you very little leeway in the otherwise player option oriented areas such as the Research & Develoupment lab. Still, the tutorial doesn't last for too long, and if you bull through as quickly as possible you can have pleanty of time to go and blow up quite a few enemy fighters.
You might even manage to find the first boss...
On the other hand: Spoiler (highlight to read): Once you actually own the game, doing as much as much development as you can get away with while still in tutorial mode means being better prepared to face larger groups of enemies - or even being able to take out the first boss that much quicker, although I really recomend actually avoiding the Bosses long enough for at least a few of any particular Zone's main combat ships to crop up. Not only do they drop a ton of resources, but they often drop a mix of finished items up to and including the highest level of anything you have researched. |
