Dude, im owning stuff in level 3 with an avenger.
Also, you have better shields than I had when I beat that boss. Its very easy, just take out the drones before you get in the bosses range, it will stop making them, then you attack. Lvl2 Blasters help...
I dont know what you are gonna do when there is 50 enemies, and 4 Larges on radar... |

| If you're that stumped then just go to the blue node in the sector and mine your little heart out; it regenerates on every return. Thanks to that one node I left Zone 1 with everything available researched and two fully equiped devastators, and it doesn't take anywhere near that to beat the first boss... or second... or third... or fourth. |

yo, much has happened in the last several hours. i beat the first boss but due to some bad timing/inexperience i lost my only avenger. now im trying just to hold my own in zone 2 with a piddly little prowler with level one everything. but im only 40 resource points away from a new devastator! yah!

lol, i acually had all the parts for my avenger in storage. so now i have it and it has level 2 everything but the ion cannons. those are levl 1. im also researching a better engine right now.

Heres my ship, its all I need:
Level 4 Generator, Engines, and Shields
Level 3 Grav. Link
2X Level 4 Ion Cannons (Sweet)
2X Photon Torps+2 Missle Pods (Making 100 rounds fired two at a time)
Level 1 Battery (I have no idea, it just seemed appropriate)
Its very simple, and allows me to do anything, fly fast and manuever easily, and dish out pain while taking a lot. |

There is a node in one of the zones that has those living entities. If you leave and keep coming back all the asteroids return. The reason is time passes for you super fast when you warp from node to node, but a long time has actually passed. You can simply save, and return back to the node and more resources will be available. I think it's one of the upper nodes in Zone 1, but you'll notice it has a constant replenishment of resources, if you keep returning to it. Just spend a couple hours and get more, and more, and more, and keep upgrading your ship and the Aegis (sp?) and keep spare resources for health. When you get to the point of having the plasma rockets (?), you'll be so powerful that boss won't have a chance. Trust me.
