Hi,
First timer here. Just downloaded the demo.
I just got the prowler hull, and the game had me fit equipment. The default location for the engines was on the wings, even tho there weren't enough brackets for it, so I wasn't sure if that was a valid place or not.
Anywho, long story short, I didn't know what I was doing, and recycled my engines. Now the game won't let me leave the fitting screen, and I can't see a way to get the engines back. The only way to exit was a good old alt-f4. |

The GUI isn't very polished. Don't trust "default locations" for anything. Move it around until you find a spot where it shows as green instead of red. Engines go in the middle of the back; weapons go in front. Everything else goes wherever it fits.

I've never had the game get stuck on the fitting screen before. Usually you can leave the ship without engines and mine with the default runabout until you get enough to build new engines.
For now, I'd recommend just starting a new game from scratch. "Skip intro" and it'll start you with a prowler hull and enough stuff to equip it. |

Oops, good point, equipment default locations should attempt to be valid placement positions. I'll add that to the 1.6 fix list, thanks.
I can't see how you can recycle the engines at that point in the game though, that one has me a little confused. As you are in the tutorial you are supposed to put all the equipment on the ship before you are allowed to exit the screen. If there is a way to get off that screen without finishing the ship build that would be a major bug. Maybe that isn't exactly what you mean? Any more information would be great.
p.s. I haven't played Starscape in a long time, we are extremely busy finishing MrRobot, so it was quite refreshing to play it while looking for this bug. All bugs considered, Starscape is a mighty fine game (sorry). |

| Hahahaha. That's an awesome bug report. I went and checked, and after you've placed any item on the prowler you can use modify to select it and recycle it. And because the tutorial won't let you leave the screen until you've completed the prowler, you're completely stuck. |

Ah right, modify, of course. Doh!
I'll add that to the list to get fixed. |
