I'm pretty sure I remember the swastiska being very differently shaped in the buddhists' use. Well, not VERY differently, but it had swirlies and stuff. After checking google image search, though, it seems it was mostly the overly geometrical shape. Seems I was referring to the HINDU use of it, seen here: http://fugato.net/wp-content/swastika.png . Inverting it doesn't change its meaning, but using it as a logo for your Political Party Of Mass Murder does.

Are there any benevolent logos in the world nowadays tho?
