Fost suggested this thread, so here it is: what window manager do you use? Personally I'm a KDE man but I just instulled Ubuntu and I liked it (its Gnome based) - I can't be bothered download Kubuntu (Ubuntu with KDE) so I'll see how I go. If you don't use/like KDE or Gnome post the option you do want here and I'll add it.

KDE, but that is only as it is preinstalled in the version I get, a single command (yes single command on the command line) will pull gnome from ports, compile, and install, so it wouldn't be hard to run either.

Gnome.

I have personally found KDE to be too cluttered and bloated. I prefer Gnome, as it keeps things simple, while still having all the features you need.

Besides, I love Gnome's right-click desktop --> Terminal. I never could figure out how to do the same in KDE.
